Paramedical institutes and schools

Each year, the Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital (CHU) welcomes and trains more than 2,000 pupils and students through its training institutes, within its healthcare departments as well as its medico-technical, logistical, technical and administrative services.

Allied health and midwifery professions

The Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital (CHU) has 10 schools and training institutes providing education to nearly 1,100 healthcare professionals each year: nurses, ambulance drivers, assistant ambulance drivers, childcare assistants, nursing assistants, medical radiography technologists, pediatric nurses, operating room nurses, nurse anesthetists, healthcare managers, and midwives.
Since the start of the academic year in September 2010, all training institutes have been located on the St-Jacques campus: the paramedical training institutes within the CHU, and the Midwifery School within the Faculty of Medicine.

To find out more, please visit the dedicated page for Schools and Training Institutes for Paramedical and Midwifery Professions at the Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital.

Alongside students enrolled in the paramedical training institutes and the Midwifery School, nearly 900 students from outside the hospital structure complete their placements within the medical and non-medical departments of the Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital.
