Hospital cooperation is a key objective of the Law of January 26, 2016, aimed at modernizing our healthcare system, which mandates that healthcare institutions integrate into a Groupement Hospitalier de Territoire (GHT).

The goal pursued through the establishment of GHTs has been to develop regional medical and care strategies, and to ensure equal access to secure and high-quality healthcare services.

It ensures the rationalization of management practices through the pooling of functions or the transfer of activities between institutions.

The purpose of the grouping is to enable the institutions that make it up to implement a shared and stepped approach to patient care. In this way, the institutions develop a shared medical project that ensures both local care availability and access to specialized and referral services.
