A Joint Medical Project Serving the Population of Puy-de-Dôme
The Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital (CHU) is under a shared leadership with the Hospitals of Riom, Issoire, Enval, Mont-Dore, Billom, and Montluçon - Néris-les-Bains.
This shared leadership is based on the pre-existing complementarity of all the institutions in the region. They have defined a common strategy based on shared medical and institutional projects, which are both consistent and complementary. This strategy aims, in particular, to coordinate the management of medical human resources in a care pathway approach, while also focusing on support functions such as biomedical services, information systems, and the medical information department.
The spirit of this joint medical project is to ensure, with the support of the CHU teams, the sustainability of activities in the regional institutions, so that every patient can benefit from high-quality local hospital care and treatment perfectly suited to their health condition.
Terms of Joint Management
As part of the shared leadership, each institution retains its legal identity, financial autonomy, and governing bodies. The General Director of the CHU is also the General Director of the Hospitals of Riom, Issoire, Enval, Mont-Dore, and Billom, and in this capacity, he appoints a delegated director for each institution, responsible for its overall management.
