The Auvergne–Rhône-Alpes region is unique: it is the region with the highest number of university hospitals (CHU). This must therefore become our collective strength, and this is the core ambition of the GCS HOURAA: to embody an alliance capable of projecting the region’s hospital–university capacities into major international networks, and to offer our political, institutional, academic, social and industrial ecosystem a responsive and well‑adapted gateway to the challenges of transforming the healthcare system…

Beyond that, the GCS reflects the desire to reproduce a demanding governance model — one that we already master within each of our CHUs — by ensuring the convergence of actions.
