The GCS HOURAA unveils its 2025–2028 strategic roadmap: four university hospitals, together, shaping the future of healthcare in Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes.
The HOURAA Healthcare Cooperation Group, which brings together the four university hospitals of the Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes region (Clermont‑Ferrand, Grenoble, Lyon and Saint‑Étienne), is presenting its new 2025–2028 strategic roadmap.
Its clear ambition: to position the regional hospital‑university network as a driver of innovation, attractiveness and collaboration, serving patients and communities across the region.
The objectives?
Providing a structured referral offer, supporting research and innovation, strengthening the attractiveness of hospital‑university careers, and asserting the influence of the HOURAA Health Cooperation Group at both regional and national levels.
Five strategic pillars have been defined for 2028 to sustain this collective momentum:
A region of hospital‑university excellence
Coordination of expertise, pooling of major investments, and support for specialties under pressure to ensure a coherent regional-level referral offer.
Research and innovation serving patients and territories
Launch of the first inter‑CHU Hospital‑University Federations (FHU), networking of the health data warehouses of the four CHUs within the DataHubHOURAA (D2H) project, and support for artificial intelligence and organizational innovation initiatives.
Useful and ambitious alliances
Development of regional and national partnerships, organization of a first inter‑CHU group meeting, coordinated exchanges with major industrial partners, and joint monitoring of major funding opportunities.
Training and skills development
Deployment of a regional managerial training offer, creation of an inter‑CHU simulation network, and support for the university-level development of paramedical training programs.
A strong image for a key regional actor
Development of a distinctive HOURAA brand, enhancement of digital communication, and organization of an annual seminar bringing together institutional partners and decision-makers.
A collective and operational strategy
With 25 concrete actions to be implemented by 2028, the HOURAA Healthcare Cooperation Group places collaboration and innovation at the core of its mission. Each strategic pillar mobilizes multidisciplinary teams from the four university hospitals, working in coordination with the Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes Regional Health Agency and the region’s health universities.
About the GCS HOURAA
