[ UPDATE ]
Faced with sustained activity in the emergency department and an increased need to hospitalize patients requiring medical care, the CHU is gradually adapting its organization in order to continue providing high-quality reception and patient orientation.
In this context, the facility is activating level 3 of the internal mobilization plan in order to optimize the use of available capacity and maintain smooth patient pathways.
Measures implemented to ensure the continuity and quality of patient care
In order to best adapt the hospital’s organization to the situation, several targeted and proportionate measures are being implemented:
-
A limited postponement of surgical activity is being put in place for Friday, January 16, and Monday, January 19.
-
This strictly regulated measure makes it possible to reserve beds identified by specialty for patients referred from the emergency department and to free up 29 additional beds across the different care pathways.
-
A temporary reinforcement of paramedical staff in the emergency department is being organized through Monday, January 19, to support teams during this period of high activity.
These adjustments remain temporary, targeted, and proportionate to the situation. They are implemented to ensure, at all times, the safety and quality of patient care.
Situation monitoring
A new assessment will be carried out on Monday, January 19, in order to adjust the measures in place if necessary.
Important reminder: call 15 before going to the emergency department
The CHU reminds everyone of the importance of dialing 15 before any trip to the emergency department. SAMU medical regulation helps direct each patient to the most appropriate care and contributes to reducing waiting times for the most urgent situations.
CHU teams remain fully mobilized to support all patients under the best possible conditions.
